Armenian Casino and Card Room Gaming
In 2013, new gambling regulations went into effect in Armenia. These laws impose a minimum space requirement of 2,700 square feet for casinos and 1,100 square feet for slot halls. The laws also mandate that gambling establishments be located 1,600 feet from schools, cultural and historical monuments, state buildings and hospitals.
In July 2017, the Armenian government passed a new law limiting small casino and gaming hall operations to Sevan, Tsakhkadzor, Jermuk and Meghri. Casino developments over USD 100 million are exempt from the geographic restrictions.
